Since 1968, WBM Staalservice centrum (Steel Service Centre) has been a reliable sub-supplier and partner in sheet metal parts and components. In order to optimally serve our customers, we continually invest in new technologies and work with the most modern equipment.

Since 2001, WBM has operated a 3D laser cell. This installation is suitable for both 3D-laser-welding and 3D-laser-cutting, both of which add a new dimension to the design and production of sheet metal components.

Engineers have greater freedom in designing their products. The combination of bending followed by 3D-laser-cutting enables the production of parts with a very high degree of accuracy. Large tubular parts with a wall thickness up to 15 mm can be machined in one position.

Laser-welding enables the joining of materials with high speed and minimal heat input. Heat-affected zones almost disappear and deformation due to the welding process is kept to an absolute minimum.
